一、课程目标
《大学英语》课程是现代远程教育公共基础课之一。课程遵循网络教育应用型人才的培养目标,针对从业人员继续教育的特点,重在培养学生掌握英语基础知识及灵活应用的能力。通过本课程的学习,学生能够进一步掌握英语基础知识和技能,具有阅读和翻译有关英语业务资料、进行简单的听、说、读、写语言应用的能力,为今后继续提高英语交际能力打下良好的基础。
二、基本要求
通过本学期大学英语课程的学习,学生应能达到下列要求:
学生应能认知单词1600个左右(包括入学时要求掌握的1200个单词),对其中的1000个单词能够正确拼写,英汉互译,掌握其用法,并能熟练掌握300个左右常用词组的基本词义和用法。重点培养阅读能力,掌握基本的阅读技能。掌握基本语法规则,并能解决阅读与翻译中的一般语法问题。运用学到的语言知识和语法知识,写出正确的句子以及便条、通知等简单的应用文。
1、单词:对课内阅读文章中所学重要单词和词组能正确拼写,英汉互译,并能熟练掌握其用法;对其它单词重在认知。
2、课文:掌握正确的阅读技巧,准确把握文章的结构和内容,熟读并正确理解长难句,熟练掌握其中的语言点,并能灵活运用,进行英汉互译。
3、语法:进一步掌握并巩固基本的语法知识,在阅读、翻译和写作中进行运用。
4、写作:能运用所学语法知识和词汇表达写出正确的句子。应能进行简单的便条、通知等应用文写作。
5、翻译:能进行简单的句子层面上的英汉互译。
6、听、说:不作具体要求,学生可根据自己的具体情况进行听、说训练。
