He holds a bachelor’s degree from Peking University and a master’s degree from Simon Fraser University, Canada. He is an academic counsellor to “Outstanding Principals Exchange Center” of Beijing Huayue Education Institute, and was invited to offer training or lectures to a number of schools and education administrative agencies. He once taught at the Affiliated High School of Peking University, involved in the overall curriculum design of the International Division, led the development of innovative courses of Yuanpei College, including Biology Honors Program, comprehensive science lab course, theory of knowledge, middle school natural science, middle school comprehensive science. Later on, he taught MYP science and DP biology subjects at Keystone Academy, and was the school’s founding science team leader. The students he taught now attend Harvard, Yale, Stanford, MIT, Princeton and other world top universities, in addition to more than 200 students having been admitted to Peking Univ
Originally from Japan, Dr. Hoshi earned his B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Tokyo, M.A. in Philosophy at Texas A&M, and Ph.D. in Philosophy at Stanford University. After teaching courses on logic and philosophy at a number of places, including Stanford University, he joined the Online High School. He is excited to serve the school as the Director of Stanford Online High School this year. He will still continue to teach a class for History and Philosophy of Science (OHSC0).
Dr. LI Yi received her PhD degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2014. She is also a visiting scholar of department of electrical engineering of Columbia University in year 2012. She also received her dual degree in Economics in Peking University. In 2014, she joined the High School Affiliated to Renmin University as a mathematics, physics and computer science teacher. At the same time, she is leading an optional course called Mathematical Modeling and Students Inquiry Study in Information and Communication Engineering. Yi is a member of IEEE, CCF and CSIAM. She is also a reviewer of IEEE Access and invited editor of special issue《Privacy Preservation for Large-Scale User Data in Social Networks》. She has published more than 20 papers on the top class of conferences and journals. She also won Outstanding Awards in National Teaching Competitions.
